Seamless. | doorhandles

Seamless. | university project
| First semester (2018/10 - 2019/02)

We were tasked to come up with two door handles for the public and semi-public space with one made from metal and one made out of metal and one additional material of choice all in teams of two.
01Intuition
Usage should go unnoticed, work right away and make your path barrier-free. It also needs to feel usual and fitting in the hand.
02 Sturdiness
The handle is meant to be used in semi-public spaces, thus the mounting, as well as the product itself, need to hold up in everyday use.
03 Aesthetic
The product should not attract attention to itself but rather go unnoticed during the process and fit the atmosphere and style of its surroundings.
Roles

Originally we were supposed to design one doorhandle each, but as the project went on we decided to connect the two products through one belief. As a result we both played equal parts in every single step during the design process.
